The territory of the Etruscan Coast is characterized by vast cultivated fields, gentle hills covered with vineyards and olive groves, long sandy beaches and historic villages with medieval charm.
In this paradise dominates the Mediterranean nature and the Mediterranean diet. In the kitchen, only seasonal fruits and vegetables are used mostly from local campaigns that have a low impact on the environment. On the table there is always the typical Tuscan bread, kneaded without salt, and even the extra virgin olive oil.
The cultivation of olives and vines is one of the main and most traditional of the territory. The hills just a few kilometers from the sea are covered with vineyards and olive groves from which excellent quality products are obtained. Over time, the popularity of oil and wine in the Etruscan Coast grew to overcome national borders. Today it is here that are produced some of the world’s most famous Italian wines such as Sassicaia.
On the coast is very common to eat fresh fish of the Mediterranean Sea, while in the hinterland is often cooked wild game of the local forests: wild boars, hare and rabbits.
