In Cecina there is a very special farm: the Gallorose Park. Inaugurated in 2001, the Park is currently undergoing restructuring and evolution. Located in a green oasis, it houses 150 wild species and domestic breeds of mammals and birds.

Among the animals in the park, you can admire giant red kangaroos, Nile lichi, birches, fennec foxes, palm owls and black giant squirrels. In addition, there are local domestic varieties such as Pisan cows, the little horse of Monterufoli and the Cinta Senese. Gallorose Park was created to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity and promote the sustainable use of natural resources.

Inside the park, there are also several historical museums with finds ranging from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century. Among these, there are galleries of political posters, a museum on everyday life with vintage images and toys from the early 1900s. Being a farm, the park also houses a museum dedicated to agricultural work equipment from the 1900s to the present.

For a refreshing break, visitors can choose between the bar for a quick meal, the self-service, or the restaurant that offers traditional Tuscan dishes, prepared exclusively with farm products. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, allowing you to enjoy the authentic flavors of the territory in a unique and welcoming environment.
