The territory of the Etruscan Coast is distinguished by its vast cultivated expanses, rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves, long sandy beaches and historic villages with medieval charm. This corner of paradise is dominated by Mediterranean nature and the Mediterranean diet. The kitchen uses mainly seasonal fruits and vegetables from the local countryside, thus reducing the environmental impact. On the tables there is never a shortage of Tuscan bread, kneaded without salt, and extra virgin olive oil.

The cultivation of olive trees and vines is one of the most traditional and significant activities of the territory. The hills, located a few kilometers from the sea, are covered with vineyards and olive groves from which excellent quality products are obtained. With time, the fame of the oil and wine of the Etruscan Coast has gone beyond national borders. Today, in this region are produced some of the most renowned Italian wines in the world, such as Sassicaia.

On the coast is very common consumption of fresh fish of the Mediterranean Sea, while in the hinterland is often appreciated the game hunted in the local woods, such as wild boar, hares and rabbits.
